2 Oxymorons...

1.) Really, you can only enjoy being in a cemetary while you're still alive.

2.) If you're an oil company (like BP) and you have problems (with your pipeline), you make more money because the price of oil increases on account of your poor performance.

Go figure.

RAVE Records on IODA

Great news for all you old punks out there (and your kids)...

Todd Cote (sole legal owner of RAVE Records) tells me that (legendarily defunct) RAVE Records has signed on with IODA Alliance to distribute the label's collection via a number of Internet Music sites, including eMusic.com and AudioLunchbox.com

These sites offer MP3 downloads, (no Digital Rights Management) that will play on all MP3 players (iPods, Zen, iRiver, etc).

Great Philly bands like Scab Cadillac, Big Thing, Flag of Democracy, More Fiends, SheMales, Deadspot, McRad, Trained Attack Dogs - as well as other bands from across the country. In addition to the individual albums, there are also some compilations, most notably the record that started it all, Discpan Hands: A Philadelphia Compilation.

Both Todd's Leafy Green Booking and IODA Alliance are based in San Francisco, where Todd moved to over 15 years ago... Life is good out there for him and his mate Dema!
